VMX International, LLC

VMX International, LLC, an environmental waste management and recycling firm, was recently awarded federal contracts with the following government entities:  US Army Garrison in Miami, Fl, US Coast Guard Sector in San Diego, CA and the US Army Reserve in Saugerties, NY.  VMX will provide customized waste management solutions for each base that could include installation of recycling programs, container right-sizing and increased compaction and landfill diversion.  VMX will also provide educational resources and state- of-the-art technology, such as solar compactors to decrease waste management expenses and promote a green, military lifestyle.

Somat Engineering, Inc

Somat Engineering, Inc., a Detroit headquartered infrastructure engineering and information technology company, was awarded a federal government contract by the US Army corps of Engineers, Detroit District.  The project involves the study and investigation of the extent of environmental sediment and contamination in the St. Louis River in Duluth Harbor, Minnesota.  Remediation of the contamination will be addressed in a later phase of the project.
