Executive Coaching

Most organizations know the importance of employee engagement and allocate their resources to maximize each employee's potential. Training, mentoring, coaching, 360° peer evaluations, career pathing, etc. are just a few of the programs commonly used by successful organizations driving to get the most out of each employee’s strengths.

On the contrary, managers and executives are often expected to not only be in command of all areas of operational importance, but also demonstrate expertise in the human resource skills necessary to drive change, motivate employees, and achieve results. Due to these expectations, leaders are often the last to benefit (or not at all) from these important programs.

While most managers and executives will have experience in all of these areas, it is important to cultivate and enhance these leadership skills for the leader's benefit and those they lead. The aim of EPD executive coaching is to support leaders in dealing with challenging situations, strengthen and broaden skills, and help executive leadership find new ways to meet the needs of their very unique role.

Wayne State University’s Executive & Professional Development coaches have expertise across a wide range of industries and a diverse set of disciplines.   Our coaches are accomplished business leaders and practitioners with a passion for coaching.  We follow International Coach Federation (ICF) guidelines for coaching.  ICF is “the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches.”  All Executive & Professional Development coaches pursue ICF credentialing and abide by the ICF Code of Ethics.
